The Hidden Cost of Disconnection

Communication takes a lot of effort and energy. Why waste arrows missing the mark? The truth is when we want to look good and invest energy, time and resources going out to strut our stuff and we miss the mark, it costs us as well as our relationships.

Choosing not to connect may seem pleasurable but it is really a short term pleasure only that helps nobody in the long run. For example, we may laugh at someone meanly, act like a joke isn’t funny, choose to ignore a smile, phone call or text message. These acts can help us feel greater than the other person for a moment but in our heart of hearts, we know we are actually choosing not to connect to anyone, including ourselves.
