Sometimes we find ourselves around a person or people who pursue disconnection. However, the way our life is set up at that point in time makes it difficult to simply discontinue the relationship. So we must learn to maintain our connection with ourselves even in the face of their attempted disturbance of it. Certain people enjoy (consciously or subconsciously) causing anxiety or unrest in others. Staying connected to oneself at these times is possible even though it can be challenging. So how is it done?
We need to get to know ourselves and to do whatever it takes to stay calm within ourselves. We can listen to the voice within our heart and be true to it by honouring it and respecting it. This can take time to learn to do.
