Gaining Clarity

Removing confusion is vital and takes work. Taking the time to gain clarity regularly on the following is beneficial:

  • Knowing your self: discovering one’s purpose, sensitivities, body, emotions
  • Knowing your life: awareness of the people in it: the time that they take; their abilities, goals and interests; awareness of your responsibilities towards your-
  • self and others
  • Having a mantra or image that addresses your most common reason for ‘losing your cool’
  • Creating a vision board of your values, limits, beliefs, etc.
  • Working on a yearly plan addressing all areas of your life
  • Identifying a yearly direction that addresses most of the yearly plan (eg. increasing sleep could address lack of clarity, impatience, time wasting)
  • Identifying the help you need in the form you need it (eg. gym, holidays, friends, role models, experts)
  • Behaving with kindness and empathy towards yourself
  • The relationship you have with yourself: hearing your inner dialogue re how you feel and what objective internal or external actions could help you
  • Understanding your needs and figuring out how to get them met.
